I am an accomplished, creative web and graphic design professional with 25+ years experience developing and administering optimized WordPress websites and print graphic assets on a wide variety of platforms for long-term clientele. I would like to be considered for the Web Developer position.
Having been working with WordPress since 2009, I’m skilled in nearly every aspect of WordPress design, production, and management. I utilize a variety of applications (Adobe CC), technologies (PHP, HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, SQL), software services (Postmark, Mailchimp), custom code, and plugins to deliver highly-effective WordPress website solutions that meet project goals and exceed expectations.
In addition to WordPress development, I am experienced in many of the server-related aspects of website administration including backup, recovery, email, performance, security, and proactive maintenance. I apply my problem solving skills and knowledge of SSH, FTP, CLI, Apache, MySQL, and DNS to effectively manage, troubleshoot, and administer WordPress sites in a variety of hosting and server environments.
All of my technical skills would mean little if I didn’t have the graphic design skills to make them look good too. Skilled using a variety of software tools, including Adobe CC, I have created brand identities, cohesive marketing collateral, advertising, and other assets for print and screen that have deepened brand engagement for my clients in the long-term.
Some of my notable accomplishments include a WooCommerce-based meal delivery service, an online proposal creation/management system, a WooCommerce / Learndash LMS, and an event booking and business management system for a non-profit organization (on whose Board I sit as Vice President).
